“It is my concern to thank all those who took part in Terra Matta 2018. Each actor has given his precious contribution to the realization of the event that led the iblee food and wine excellences to be the undisputed protagonists. I thank the Department for Productive Activities of the Region of Sicily which co-funded the project, the members of the Chiaramonte Consortium, the Municipalities of Chiaramonte Gulfi and Giarratana, the Wine Route Cerasuolo di Vittoria and its president Marco Calcaterra for their support along the way , the Alberghiero ‘Principi Grimaldi’, the sponsors, the press and all those who participated in the success. A final thanks goes to the director of the event Carlo Ottaviano, to the President of the Jury Marcello Leoni, to the journalists and local chefs who took part in the juries and promising young Italian restaurants that we had the honor to know and appreciate “.
So Mario Molè, president of the Consorzio Chiaramonte wanted to comment on the closing of the 2018 edition of Terra Matta. It was an important event from every point of view: from showcasing traditional products to giving the right light to all the protagonists. Three days and three different events: the national enogastronomic competition with the victory of two young chefs from restaurants that have made and do the history of gastronomy in Italy; the Taste Workshop led by internationally renowned chef Marcello Leoni, and finally the workshop on Cannara onion held in Giarratana and the three master classes on wine, oil and beer paired with cheeses.
